We have a 14-year-old log home that had been stained several times with poorly-performing products. We wanted a "re-do", but had to somehow remove the remaining old stains. It was important to us to do this in an environmentally-friendly and cost-effective manner. Our months-long search led us to Top Choice Painting & Log Restoration and we are so pleased that we found them.

The media blasting of our house was very interesting to watch. The old stain was just erased right off of the logs! The crew showed up as planned, was polite and friendly, cleaned up after themselves each night and were very careful with our landscaping and house (all a rarity in the construction business!). We've had many bad experiences with contractors, so all of this was a very pleasant surprise.

Now that we've had the opportunity to stain our home correctly, we hope to never need another "re-do". If we do, our first call will be to Top Choice.

My wife and I recently decided to have our log home in northern Arizona completely restored. Its age was beginning to show and we were not at all happy with the look of the exterior of the house. It is an expansive log home that was built in 2001. It is not a kit that came from a factory. It was early this year that we really started to notice the severe color fading. We looked into the reason for the fading and found that it was due to the fact that when it was originally stained, there was no sealer or sun inhibiting agent applied. We did our research of log home restoration contractors in our area, as well as studied on-line for various restoration techniques. In the end we found that Chris Fazio from Top Choice Painting & Restoration was completely qualified to produce the product that we were looking for. He described his step-by-step restoration process exactly as described in the research I did, along with a few added steps to ensure a quality end product. I found no other company that would give the warranty extended by Chris. AND, I'm so happy with the price that Chris offered to restore my home for!

There were several areas that led to our complete satisfaction. One of the biggest pleasing factors was that Chris was on site during the restoration process. He spoke with us daily concerning job progress and ongoing recommendations. When something came up that needed his immediate attention, he was more than willing to step in and quickly remedy the situation. He explained each step to us, in detail, before the step began. And when the step was completed, he verified that my wife and I were happy with the outcome. Throughout the job, his communication and customer service never wavered. On three separate occasions when Chris, himself, was not satisfied with an application he reapplied the process and application at no extra charge. Chris has returned several times since completion to inspect the finished product and make sure we are completely happy.

During the planning stage of the restoration, I went with Chris' recommendation to use Perma-Chink brand products to achieve the look that I was seeking. Using Perma-Chink's color samples, he spent considerable time with me and my wife selecting the final color for our logs, decking and hand rails. This is most important as the final product is a beauty.

The overall condition of the jobsite was extraordinary. I had the opportunity to meet each individual who worked on the project and was satisfied with their performance. They were tops in their field whether it was corn-media blasting, sealing of windows and doors, or applying the various products for the final finish. We have a very extensive landscape plan around our house. Chris and his crew were very attentive to the work that I had put into my yard, and at the conclusion of the job none of my plants were damaged. The site was also cleaned up each afternoon with nothing left detracting from our home.

Dear Brian,

I recently had our kitchen remodeled and chose to have our cabinets painted instead of purchasing all new. I came to your store to inquire about painters who did this type of work. I was given 4 names and interviewed 3 painters. I chose Chris Fazio from TOP CHOICE PAINTING and RESTORATION as he was by far the most professional, thorough and knowledgeable.

My kitchen already had high quality cabinets, but they were maple, stained a dark walnut that were installed in the 1980’s by Gallery of Kitchens. I wanted to lighten the kitchen to white cabinets. Mr. Fazio recommended the best primer and paint and completed the work superbly. The dining area of the kitchen and paneled wainscoting which was removed and Top Choice did a wonderful job of patching, sanding, and painting. TOP CHOICE went the extra mile with attention and detail, such as painting the recessed light fixtures to match the ceiling.

The final result was beyond my expectations and many friends and family have asked if we bought new cabinets!!! My husband and I entertain a fair amount and it is a delight to cook and dine in the kitchen as it is so beautiful.

I would like to thank you for the wonderful job you did on our deck railing. Been watching it discolor and deteriorate for the past six years. I would hate going on the deck knowing how bad the railing looked. Now it's a joy.
